2019’s Best Inspirational Blogger

Before launching my blog in May 2019 I joined a few local blogging groups that I discovered on Instagram. One of them was the Palm Beach Bloggers, a group associated with The Blogger Union. I learned so much from attending a few of their monthly meetings and made so many great friends. When I found out that they hosted an award ceremony every year to celebrate the best bloggers in multiple categories, I knew I had to win! I told my husband I was going to win, I just wasn’t sure in which category. As my friend Angela would say, I manifested it!

I was so excited that you all nominated me for not one, not two but THREE categories. I was nominated for Best Lifestyle Blogger, Best Parenting Blogger and Best Inspirational Blogger. After voting, I was selected as one of five semifinalists for Best Inspirational Blogger and I could not have been more excited.

My friend Kelly with Freedom In A Budget was nominated for Best Financial Blogger. The excitement was building as we drove to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden with our friend Angela Cruz  to attend the South Florida Blogger Award’s ceremony.

As I was waiting for my category to be called, I was sweating bullets. I don’t think I let on just how bad I wanted to win but I REALLY wanted to call my husband and tell him I did it, I set a goal and I accomplished it. When they announced me as the winner I was jumping up and down on the inside but was calm, cool and collected walking across the stage. I didn’t want to trip! I was also so happy that Kelly won Best Financial Blogger and that we were able to celebrate together!

I’m still in shock that I was not only nominated and chosen as a semifinalist, but that I won! I’m so glad you all find my blog posts, photos and YouTube videos inspiring. I never set out to be an inspiration. I simply chose to share my struggles in hopes of helping others feeling less alone.

Thank you all so much for voting for me and my blog. And a HUGE thank you for supporting me for over 10 years on the internet! I’m so thankful for your friendship and encouragement. I wouldn’t be who I am today without each and every one of you. You’re the best and I’m so happy that I’m able to help make your mundane a little magical.
