I love reading to my kids! Even though we have more books than I can count, my toddler asks me to read him the same books every single day. These are a few of our favorites from Amazon!
Wherever You Are, my love will find you
My mom gifted me this book for Valentine’s Day in 2018. My husband and I were in the process of becoming licensed foster parents. I cried reading it for the first time and still tear up when I read it to my kids. My favorite part is the last page that reads, “You are my angel, my darling, my star…and my love will find you, wherever you are.” It’s a must read and makes a great gift!
This book was handed down to us by a friend. It was Sebastian’s favorite when he was a baby. I read it to him every night when he was in the bathtub. He enjoyed making all of the animal sounds with me. It’s a fun learning tool!
Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site
A sweet subscriber sent my boys this book. Sebastian loves all kinds of construction vehicles and is also a fan of the book, Goodnight Moon. Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site is a perfect blend of the two.
This flap book was another gift from a subscriber. My boys love when I read it to them but also enjoy looking at it themselves. I often find my toddler in his bed cuddled up with this book, lifting all the flaps. It’s great for teaching them what each vehicle does and why they are important.
This is another book that makes me tear up every single time I read it. It talks about life’s ups and downs and encourages kids to keep pushing through. I absolutely love it! Hands down one of my favorite kid’s books.
My brother and sister-in-law gave this book to Sebastian on his adoption day. When he was younger I would ask him if he was happy and he’d respond “happy happy.” This book is such a great reminder of those sweet conversations we used to have.
