On September 11, 2021 our baby boy turned a year old. We celebrated a week later with a Mickey Mouse themed birthday party!
As most of you know, I love putting together a photo wall that typically includes a balloon arch. I purchased this Mickey Mouse themed balloon garland from Amazon and put it together the night before. I loved the way it turned out!
The birthday boy wore an adorable first birthday outfit that fit the theme perfectly. I purchased it from Amazon and paired it with these red shoes.
I typically display all the party food on our kitchen table. For Lincoln’s party we ordered sandwich rings from Publix, made pigs in a blanket, had a charcuterie board and more!
The plastic silverware was displayed in a tool box as “mousekatools.”
Instead of a typical fruit tray, we used strawberries, blueberries and pineapple to create Mickey’s pants. It was adorable and delicious!
My mom thrifted these red Mickey Mouse bowls. They were perfect for chips and dip as well as a few desserts.
To keep the kids happy and busy we rented Mickey Park, a fun bounce house with lots of activities inside.
We also rented a snow cone machine to help cool the kids down after playing hard in the South Florida heat.
My mom made Lincoln’s Mickey Mouse smash cake using a cake mold she found at a local thrift store. It was equally adorable and delicious!
We ended they day by having the kids smash a Mickey Mouse piñata. I handed out treat bags which served as their party favors.
We had such a great time celebrating Lincoln’s first birthday with family and friends. It was such a cute party and turned out exactly as I hoped it would! To see more from his special day, check out his birthday party vlog on my YouTube channel.
While you’re here, I think you’ll enjoy the post I wrote sharing Sebastian’s first birthday party!
