South Florida Staycation

Unfortunately all of our summer vacation plans have either been cancelled or postponed due to Covid-19. However, now is the perfect time for us to enjoy a staycation!

Singer Island is one of my favorite places to visit! The beaches are beautiful, the restaurants serve amazing food and beverages and the scene at night is always relaxing and fun.

I have been to the Palm Beach Marriott on Singer Island numerous times for massages and facials. I knew it was the perfect staycation spot for myself, my mom and my two year old son.

We enjoyed a one night stay in a two bedroom, two bathroom suite overlooking the pool and beach. The suite also has a full kitchen and a washer in dryer.

The first bedroom has two queen beds that could easily sleep four people. The second bedroom has a king size bed that was so comfortable. I slept great, even with my toddler hogging the entire bed!

When we first arrived my mom set up a charcuterie board and we snacked, drank Barefoot wine and enjoyed the beautiful view.

We then quickly changed and made our way down to the beach. You can request chairs, towels and sporting accessories such as paddle boards and snorkeling gear at the beach hut on the Oceanside Reef Deck. The water was calm and clear, perfect for Sebastian to enjoy. After about an hour or so, the Florida afternoon showers arrived so we went back up to our room to rest.

After a quick nap, we walked down to the Lagoon Pool. It’s perfect for kids with a beach entrance pool and fun waterslide. We enjoyed our free welcome beverage that you can pick up at the hotel bar between 4pm-5pm on the day of check-in. You can also easily order food and drinks from the Cantina Bar and Grill.

They do have a restaurant on property, 3800 Ocean. I hear their food is delicious! However, we decided to go to Ocean Walk for dinner. Ocean Walk offers multiple shops and restaurants, even a nail salon! We ate at my favorite local spot, Mulligan’s. Sebastian and I ate chicken nuggets and my mom had a margarita pizza. Everything was delicious! You can easily walk to Ocean Walk with it being only 0.6 miles away from the hotel.

After dinner we ended our night with a sunset stroll on the Marriott’s private beach.

The next morning I woke up and walked down to the beach to catch the sunrise. It was absolutely breathtaking! I sat on the sand for awhile drinking a mimosa and enjoying the view.

We then spent most of our day at the pool. Sebastian is a water baby and always wants to swim!

After a few hours in the pool, I had a blowout at the Marriott’s new hair salon, Aire. After spending hours in the pool and ocean, my hair was in desperate need of attention. It was so lovely to have a glass of champagne and relax for an hour.

The hotel did a great job of keeping things clean and practicing social distancing. You are required to wear a face mask inside the hotel in all public areas. The Marriott provides hand sanitizer throughout the hotel and they clean all elevators and restrooms often.

*Marriott Palm Beach hosted The Magical Mundane Life for a one night stay and a blowout at Aire. All opinions are 100% my own.

  1. I love love love this comprehensive review of your amazing experience! It took me right to the resort. I can practically feel the sand between my toes LOL! And what a fabulous kids play area for Sebastian to enjoy! That waterslide is no joke.
