As a busy mom, there is nothing I love more than an easy slow cooker recipe! In my house we LOVE tacos, Tuesday or not. This three ingredient slow cooker chicken taco recipe is both simple and delicious.
Ingredients: Boneless, skinless chicken breast. I typically use three chicken breast but you can add more if you’d like. One 16-24oz jar of your favorite salsa and a packet of taco seasoning mix.
To begin, place your slow cooker on high, then add in salsa and one full taco seasoning packet. Mix together well.
Once the salsa and taco seasoning are mixed together, add in chicken breast and cover with mixture. Place lid on top and cook on high for four hours.
After four hours on high, shred chicken. Place lid back and cook on low for 30 minutes.
After four and a half hours of cooking, your chicken tacos are ready to serve. I typically use Mission Flour Soft Tortillas but this chicken would also be great in a salad mix as well. I offer sour cream, Mexican cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and avocado. You can use whatever toppings you enjoy.
If you try this recipe, let me know what you think about it! It’s a favorite in our home and I make it often for friends. I also shared a video of this recipe on my YouTube channel years ago. Feel free to watch it and leave a friendly comment!
