I just arrived home from one of the most magical Walt Disney World vacations! I have been to Disney countless times but never in the month of August. Summer in Florida, need I say more? However, I needed some Disney magic in my life and really wanted to experience celebrating my birthday at Walt Disney World for the very first time.
My mom and I booked a last minute trip to Disney’s Boardwalk Hotel. After making our reservation my mom called the hotel to inform them that we would be there to celebrate my 27th birthday and my foster son being in our family for a year. When we arrived at the hotel I received a call that they upgraded our room to CLUB LEVEL! That meant we had access to food and drinks galore! I was so excited to wake up to free mimosas every morning! Not only did they upgrade our room, they had a card and chocolate waiting for us!
I posted several pictures on my Instagram story while we were vacationing. If you’d like to stay up to date with me in real time, I’d love for you to follow me! You can do so here, themagicalmundanelife.
One of my favorite things about staying at Disney’s Boardwalk Hotel is of course the boardwalk! It’s home to one of my favorite places on Disney property, Boardwalk Joe’s! They have the best margaritas! I usually get the Grand Margarita on the rocks. It contains Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila, Grand Marnier, Lime Juice and Sweet-and-Sour. So delicious!
While on Disney property, we went to all four parks, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Coincidentally we sat in the first row of every ride we went on!
Bubba hasn’t started walking on his own yet but he LOVES to push things and walk hand in hand. I felt so much joy walking around the castle hub with him. I have stood next to the Cinderella’s Castle countless times watching fireworks hoping, wishing and praying to be blessed with a baby that I could share fun Disney adventures with. I’m so happy my wish finally came true!
I had so many cast members and park guests wishing me a happy birthday thanks to the birthday button I received when we checked into our hotel. I also wore an adorable pair of birthday ears from Mimosas and Mouse Ears to complete my birthday ensemble.
I’m so incredibly thankful that my mom and I decided to book a last minute Disney trip for my birthday. It was everything I hoped it would be and so much more! The temperatures were high and at times it felt unbearably hot but all of the happy memories we created were worth a little sweat. Thank you Disney for making my 27th birthday truly magical!
